Law of Attraction and Say so long to Mr Wrong!

Ever heard of the Law of Attraction? Im sure most of you would have. If you dont then this is a brief description.

The Law of Attraction

The Law of Attraction is one of the better known universal laws. The theory behind the Law of Attraction is that we create our own realities. We attract things we want and we also attract things we don't want. We attract the people in our lives, the stuff in our homes, and the money in our bank accounts through our thoughts and feelings.

When our beliefs are limited, we attract limited wealth and compromise our well-being. When we believe anything is possible, the sky's the limit. In fact, you can break through that glass roof on the sky with your miraculous positive thoughts. When we focus on the "lack of" we are creating a less-than reality. But, if focus on being abundant and happy we will enjoy a luxurious and glorious reality.

I read this great article on the Cleo website and thought i'd post it.

Say so long to Mr Wrong

CLEO columnist Kathryn Eisman says attracting an amazing guy into your life ultimately begins with you.

Have Your Say

I have a friend who has (like most of us) dated a bunch of guys who just weren’t right for her. Over the years, I’ve seen her with the “unemployed, but full of potential” guy, the “successful, but no time for her” guy, the “I live for boys’ nights” guy and the much older type. In fact, she once dated a man so old that when she said, “Let’s run upstairs and do it”, he replied, “I can only do one of those things!”.

After years of equal-opportunity dating, she wanted to meet someone who was more of a keeper. She was ready to spend time with a guy who understood how great she was, someone who treated her like a woman instead of a Labrador, a guy who she could laugh with, cook for and cuddle up to. He didn’t need to be perfect; he just had to be right for her.

Settling for Mr Okay

The problem was, after constantly being disappointed by men, she had given up and was settling for someone who was just okay. This time she was seeing a guy who would tell her how much he liked her, then disappear and not call for five days.

Catching up for dinner one night (after he cancelled their plans), I explained that she deserved better. Sipping her chardonnay, she rolled her eyes and said, “But maybe there isn’t anything better.” It was clear that, instead of waiting for her ideal date to pick her up in a cab, she was settling for the driver.

She’s not alone. Many of us gals have been so disillusioned that, after a while, we start believing we aren’t worthy of anything more.

As much as we don’t want to admit it, a guy will only treat a girl as badly as she’ll let him. So if we find ourselves in less-than-fairytale- style relationships, it’s because we’ve allowed it by sticking around.

Send the right message

Ultimately, we set the tone for how other people treat us. If we don’t believe we’re worthy of love, or pretty enough or smart enough to nab our man, we send out a very clear message to the universe: “I don’t love myself enough to have anything good in my life, so send me your losers.” And guess what? The universe transpires to do just that.

Have you heard about the theory that like attracts like? In short, you get what you think about. So if you love and cherish yourself, you’ll attract a man who loves and cherishes you. If you think you’re single, miserable and alone, you’ll end up just that. Basically, we’re drawn to things of a similar vibration.

Who's 'the catch'

So, how do we get out of the funk and start dating that spunk? Well, first of all, we have to work on our relationship with ourselves. Make a conscious decision to speak more kindly to yourself.

Replace the negative voice in your head, telling you you’re not good enough, with a supporting friend cheering you on. Remind yourself of all the amazing things you have going for you. Begin taking more pride in the way you present yourself – not for any man, but because you value yourself enough.

Most importantly, remember that it’s you who’s “the catch”, worthy of great things and great love. Accept nothing less. And the truth is, a man can only fall in love with you once you have fallen in love with yourself.

*and a great quote to finish with*
ps. i just made that last bit of the quote up lol

When you think you are garbage, that when you attract flies...

so dont, think of yourself as a flower and you will attract butterflies!
